(Other stages in this set: Dorumon and its base line, Dorudramon)

Annnd here's the design that took the longest to deal with. Mostly because of that tail. Please compliment me on the braided tail, I love how it turned out and I put so much work into it. ;o;

Anyways, now the final Dorumon stage, Holydorumon! This is the Ultimate (or Mega in the English dub) stage for Dorumon! This is usually the last stage for most Digimon, but some can even evolve past this point. But that's a story for another time maybe.

Dorumon's more official Ultimate stage is Dorugoramon, which is... well, having swords as part of the wings is super cool! But the rest of the design is, kinda a mess? Mainly because, it's supposed to have arms, but it's kinda hard to tell in most of its official art. Not to mention, to me it's a bit disappointing that Dorumon just ends up evolving into another humanoid like most other Digimon lines. :/

So for this, I basically combined Dorumon with Holydramon X-Antibody, which is another Ultimate stage Digimon that Dorumon can evolve into! And I guess I made it into a centaur-ish design, kinda. :XD:

Like I mentioned in one of the other submissions, overall I like this design and the Dorudramon design by themselves... but in terms of Digimon overall, I admit I didn't really do a good job of making them really "fit" with how evolutions normally go in this series. Basically, evolutions tend to be at least somewhat related in terms of theme/element/etc. to the previous evolutions, but they can still get very wild. For example, a big cactus can evolve into a flower fairy, and a holy cat can turn into a sexy angel lady. :P

With Holydorumon and Dorudramon, I don't thing I captured the wild element of Digimon evolutions very well. It's basically more like a Pokemon evolution kind of progression, I think? That is, the change is more gradual and not as wild (granted, Pokemon also has some really wild evolutions, but not to the same degree as Digimon).

All that being said, I am still pleased with how these all turned out! I still think it might be a good idea to revisit Dorudramon in particular and convert it into a Metal Dorumon instead. Maybe. Also I feel like maybe changing Holydorumon's middle legs into more like regular front-but-still-quadruped legs would help complete its centaur-ish design, maybe.  :u
