(Other stages in this set: Dorudramon, Holydorumon)

Finally finished this (along with two other drawings!) that I've been meaning to post!

This is just a basic pic of my favorite Digimon, Dorumon, and part of its main evolution line. A quick primer on Digimon (short for "Digital Monster" btw) : it's a "collect monsters and battle with them" kind of series (games, anime, toys, etc). Kinda like Pokemon, except most Digimon don't have a "official" evolution line, there's tons of branching evolutions/stages and stuff, and Digimon can even revert back to previous stages (unlike Pokemon, where evolution is a permanent change). Some Digimon do have something of an official evolution line, but it's more of a suggestion that anything. :P

Dodomon and Dorimon at the top are Dorumon's baby forms, Dorumon itself is the "base" form (called Child stage in Japanese media, and Rookie stage in English media), and Dorugamon is the first evolution after Dorumon (called Adult in Japanese media and Champion in English media. On that note, honestly I like the English stage names better, thought it's probably mostly because I grew up with the anime dubs. :u ).

Meanwhile, the two "official" evolution stages for Dorumon after Dorugamon... admittedly I don't like them very much. ^^; I designed my own, and I'll be posting them right after this. I'll be honest, I like how my new designs look by themselves, but I don't like how they ended up not fitting in too well with standard Digimon evolutions. I'll talk about it more with the very last one though, so wait and see on that!
