Something a bit different today, a fan character!! This is a redesign of a fan NetNavi that I've had since... almost middle school I think? Oh gosh. :u

Anyways, his name is PyroMan! I made a whole ref sheet for him, including some attempts to try and draw his head at different angles. Some neat little facts about him:

• He is a Virus Navi! Basically just a Navi whose data is combined with virus data. In PyroMan's case, based on Lavagon data.
• His operator (who I will draw eventually...) has basically 'patented' Virus Navies as her own thing (not really but she perfected the process and she wants to take credit for it). She's made a couple of others, but I'll get to them later. PyroMan is her main Navi for battles!
• Obviously a fire Navi, he can breath fire and attack with his claws.
• In battle he tends to be very focused, but out of battle he's a bit of a timid pushover. He even gets bullied by some of the viruses his operator is raising.
• PyroMan can't talk normally due to his programming (long story short, he was the first/prototype Virus Navi that his operator made, and she at one point had to leave him alone, before she learned enough to be able to fix some of his programming issues). He instead speaks in emojis, specifically ones that can show up across all platforms. Basically putting together strings of emojis to try and make a sentence or two at a time. How does one 'speak' in emojis? Basically imagine a comic word bubble, but instead of words inside, it has emojis.
• As a result, Navis can understand him with no issues, while obviously humans are gonna have a harder time, since "hearing" an emoji is really weird (and it's not like he's saying the name of the emoji itself, he's somehow making noises/sounds for each one). His operator is used to him enough that she can understand what he says with barely any issues.
• Despite having wings, he is not a good flier. At all. In fact, he's got a fear of heights, but it only ever gets bad for him if he's especially high up!

Design-wise, my PyroMan was designed to be a combination of the Lavagon viruses, velociraptors, and Guilmon! I might tweak his design a bit more later, maybe shorten his neck? But overall I'm pleased with his new design! :D

(Disclaimer that I do not have any files of his old design. Probably for the better, it wasn't that good, trust me. :u )

Bonus, the pic with him wagging his tail, I tried to test out some new "drawn motion" techniques, based off of this post. It, didn't turn out quite right? At the least, I think I should have not made the two "after-images" so pale. Ah well, lesson learned. I'm thinking I might do a whole page of just practicing drawing motions at some point, would be good practice.
