I guess at this point Pride drawings are going to be a yearly thing for me, along with MerMay and Drawtober. :P
Anyways, for this year's piece, once again combine Pride with BN headcanons! This time tried to make a pic with a color palette meant to be reminiscent of the bi flag!
I've always been impressed by people who are able to pull of drawings with a very limited palette. One of my favorite professional artists, Geneva Bowers, is really great at this sort of thing!! :D
The last time I tried a limited palette drawing was this one, and it's... alright? Even now looking at it again, I can't help but feel extra critical, since it feels like some of the colors just kinda muddle together. e_e;
This time, I think I managed a bit better because I had 3 colors to work with rather than just focusing on 1. And here, I went with keeping the skintones within the color palette as well, instead of leaving them along like last time. So overall I think it turned out a lot better!
Though, maybe I will follow Geneva's example and leave the skintones alone next time and just work with a limited palette for everything else. Personally, I always found it really cool and striking that way with Geneva's own art. :>
Anyways, happy Pride month everyone! And even if you're not LGBT+, or otherwise you're just not into this kind of celebration, I hope you still have a great June regardless! :)
