So I realized the last time I drew Benzi, I didn’t really explain his… job? Backstory? So I’m gonna explain it here!

Benzi is a Janitor like Lulalu, meaning that he’s charged with making sure the story of whatever place he’s in goes as planned and doesn’t veer off into a doomed timeline. While Lulalu is more active in her role (directly confronting people/monsters that try to mess with the timeline intentionally, or are unintentionally a threat to the timeline), Benzi goes for a more passive approach to keeping the timelines safe. Mostly he makes weapons for the heroes to use later and hides them in place where said heroes will find them, makes sure that side characters who need to help the hero are in the right place at the right time, etc.

Here, he’s building a dungeon a couple thousand years before the hero has to go through it and find their own Deus Ex Machina. With the help of friendly monsters!
